I really enjoyed this restaurant. I took a chance on a one day special - Major Roger's Ragout - and it was succulent! I needed nothing but saliva to wash it down, but the nifty beer sampler further whetted my appetite. And such friendly kitchen help! I'll be back.

I have traveled the world seeking fine home brews. Not until I reached the Appalachian Brewery did I find a brew worthy of such great praise. They have several varieties to choose from at any time and a very distiguished menu. A highly recommended stop in Harrisburg, PA.

I love this place! The food was fantastic and so was the service. The decor was very interesting too.

Dined late. Enjoyed the late night menu with a "sampler". The Pulled Pork Sandwich was Delish. Loved the Scottish Ale.

Just this past week I stopped into the brewery for lunch. The food was tremendous and the beer even better. When it came time to pay the bill ,I realized that I had forgotten my wallet. A very nice man "Jack" who identified himself as an owner, offered to take care of the bill! I was stunned by such generosity. There is such a thing as a free lunch. Thanks Jack!

Been there twice in a two month period. Both times the same. Bad service, cold food, good beer. Wait staff seems to have the attitude that they don't care, people will come anyway. I'll be back, NOT.

Such a neat place that I've been taking all of my friends & relatives. The food has gotten MUCH better within the last year. Food quality is very good- but service is still slow. This is a must see place for Harrisburg. Entertainment is usually good to. Make a night of it there!

Overpriced, low quality food. Poor service and most of all lousy, flat beer served by guys who think they are gods gift to beermaking.

Extremely slow service. Waiters are not attentive - asking for a drink refill can take 20 minutes. It's a nice atmosphere, a fun place to hang-out, but the food is just so-so, food is often served cold, bread is hard, lettuce limp. Definitely overpriced for the quality you're getting.

Good beer, cool place to hang out and shoot pool. TERRIBLE food. Always dry. Harrisburg's WORST service. I went there for lunch yesterday; it took 50 minutes from the time we sat down till the food came. A HORRIBLE place to eat!

General consensus truly first class beverages, good to excellent food, but service and consistency on the food rate a zero. Have actually had a waiter say, I hope you are not in a hurry. Service is just abysmal. Keeps good restaurant from being great.

Great building, absolutely horrible food! Have tried several times to be fair and food just gets worse. Beer is average. Location is scary at night.
