We had Easter buffet there last year and found the service and food excellent. One would never known it was holiday dining. They seated us promptly and did not try to move us out quickly. Colonial decor was inviting.

I ate at Duffy's twice when I was like, 12..I still remember how much I loved it...It got me hooked on spinach salad, still love it... would love to go back some day. We used to go Christmas shopping for tweksbury (sp?) Christmas ornaments in Boalsburg.

Food is good and the service nice but not of the quality of a fine restaurant.

We had a group of eight for dinner and the wait staff were rude, the food was burnt, and the manager was not responsive to our complaints. Simply put, a horrible dining experience!

My spinach salad was good until I found a ladybug crawling around in it--thank goodness we were on the porch. I never would have seen it in the dark rooms inside the restaurant. The waitress did nothing to help us out. Just brought the check and the change was soiled, torn up dollars. I'll never go there again.

This is not fine dining at all. What is fine are hefty prices. But the worst part of this was that we were served on PEWTER plates! I like my food lead free! Food is boring and below average. Once was enough.

Both the waitress and hostess were snippy and unhelpful, the menu limited. The food was good but overpriced. Then upon leaving one of the other diners tried to pick a fight with my son.

I bet Jerry brought that lady bug into the restaurant on his shirt, poor thing. When my son comes to PA from Miami he insists on going to Duffy's Tavern for an excellent meal.

I feel really bad for the individuals who had a bad experience at the tavern. My first visit was less than stellar also, but I always give a place a second chance and I am so glad my husband and I did. We travel almost an hour one way to eat there, and we do it as often as possible. Their lump crab cakes are the best. The staff, unless new and unexperienced, have always been sweet and professional. Give them another try.
