We have spent many mealtimes at the Hoss's chain of restaurants and have not had a bad steak. Always tender and juicy. Excellent salad bar.

This Restaurant is fair at best. The steaks are no where near what you would call excellent. If you're looking for a meal where you won't spend a lot of money you will be fine. However, this is not a top of the line eating establishment.

We ate at several Hoss's which were in Bedford Pa., Hummelstown, and Annville, Pa. I liked the one in Bedford the best, the food is always good and there is always a huge selection. I plan on having an Anniversary party there.

Every time we have eaten at Hoss's in York, we've had a great dining experience. The salad bar is always stocked, and the steak is always tender. Not to mention the prices are great. I recommend Hoss's for families with younger kids. Other steakhouses like Texas Roadhouse, might be a little too obnoxious for the little ones.

I've been eating at Hoss's for many years and have been noticing that the food isn't as quality as it used to be. You really can notice this at the salad bar ...fake shredded cheese, turkey ham pieces, and "hard rubber" macaroni salad (I think they need to cook it a little longer or something). I used to love their creamy pistachio dessert but the only thing they offer is a "flavored" whipped cream (quite tasteless).

Stopped for breakfast at Leesport Hoss's. The food was cold. My wife's hot tea was cold too. As we were leaving a couple complained to us about the cold food too. He said he was in the marines and the food was better there. And before we got into our car a couple heard us complain and they too were not satisfied. 1st and last time for Hoss's for me.

The food was good many years ago. However now they seem to be in a rut - the same old food every day of the week. Salad bar not fresh, soup same old soup every week. Soup bowls dirty. And what happened to the honey kiss yogurt ice cream they had years ago; much better tasting. This stuff tastes nothing like yogurt ice cream. The dessert bar exactly what has happened to it and where did it go?? I do not eat there any more. BAD PLACE IN YORK.

We have never found filet mignon as delicious and tender as we get at your restaurant in State College.

My husband and I just ate at the Hoss's in Bedford today. We had a great steak meal and received the Senior's Discount. We are always pleased with the food and service there!

Hoss's of Lionville get a 3 because sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not. Sunday lunch was expensive (dinner prices) and pretty bad. I got the Bavarian Ham & Swiss Pretzel Melt and my wife got Grilled Chicken. Her drink was a Diet Tea; first they brought her out a fountain tea, then a brewed tea with junk in it. Salad bar was good, but they didn’t keep up with the bread. My sandwich was OK, but really just a microwaved pretzel with some deli meat/cheese on it.

I find the food at Hoss’s okay. Their steaks are lean and generally cooked correctly, though some of their cooks could use a refresher course on the difference between Rare, medium and well done. Hoss's is an average steak house where you can get solid quality, and you will not be disappointed or impressed. I would say in regards to food Hoss's is superior to Bonanza, Ponderosa, Bennigan's, Applebee's, and similar restaurants, though they do fall short of Outback or TGI Fridays.

In my opinion Hoss's at one time was the best steak house ever. The quality of the food has gone down in the last 15 years. Before that here is what Hoss's offered: -Fresh cut steaks -Fresh homemade bread from a bakery (they use to advertise from where) -Home made soup. There was always a sign "prepared by ....." and it was always a little different. -Desserts were fresh and good. Today Hoss's has sacrificed on these and other quality issues.
